A.J. FULLERTON & LAUREN FRIHAUF
Gitcha Records is thrilled to announce the signing of a new collaborative project by Lauren Frihauf & A.J. Fullerton recorded at Cowboy Cowabunga Studios in Evergreen, CO. with Tobias Bank (Frail Talk) on drums & Blake Stephan (Heavy Diamond Ring) on bass.
The upcoming 4 song EP explores some of the hardest truths we can face-the corrosive powers of dishonesty, the quiet battles we fight in our minds, and the deepest wounds are sometimes self-inflicted. This EP also features a reimagined cover of Tom Waits' "Don't Want to Grow Up" that is both a tribute and a transformation of the defiant and gritty original recording.
A.J. Fullerton, a Roots-Rock luminary hailing from Colorado and now residing in Nashville, has spent the past decade crafting his identity as a virtuosic finger-style and slide guitarist, while also earning acclaim as a prolific producer and songwriter. His latest album Magnetic Light effortlessly merges classic influences with a contemporary edge, exploring themes of resilience, transformation, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.
Lauren Frihauf is an indie-singer songwriter captivating a unique sonic landscape infused with Folk and Neo-Soul elements. A rising star in the music industry, she has been featured on NPR's Tiny Desk "Top Shelf" series and performed on NBC's hit show "The Voice". Her music is both unconventional and accessible, acting as a direct line to the soul.
